What’s Up With The Lamb?
& WHY DON’T YOU HAVE IT?
We’ve gotten this question quite a few times and we appreciate the fact that most American gyro is made with lamb. While we want to make our customers happy, we also want to stick to the integrity of our food.
Most of the lamb that you get in gyro-style meat in the U.S. is processed and only about 2% to 5% lamb. The rest of it is all filler and the majority of meat in it is actually a mixture of other meats. Our gyro meat is hand stacked and we never, ever use fillers, preservatives or additives in our foods. It’s just the way we do things…
Since we pride ourselves on our ingredients we aim to source our meats 100% antibiotic free. In addition, we want our recipes to always be delicious. We’re sourcing our lamb and as soon as we get our recipes and our supplier down, we will be offering lamb souvlaki on our menus.
Until then, we know that you’ll be a hand-stacked gyro lover once you try our chicken or pork. Fresh ingredients, simple recipes and love make up all of our recipes.
